ALABASTER – Alabaster City Schools is proud to announce that Dr. Lantanza Harrison, Chief Human Resources Officer, has been nominated for the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) Leadership Award for Outstanding Educational Leadership by the Alabama Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA). This nomination is a testament to her contributions and dedication to the field of educational leadership.

The CLAS Leadership Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership and commitment to the advancement of educational administration in Alabama. Dr. Harrison's nomination reflects her outstanding achievements and significant impact within Alabaster City Schools and the broader educational community.

ACS Superintendent Dr. Wayne Vickers expressed the district's pride in Harrison's accomplishments.

In addition to this notable recognition, Dr. Harrison has been commended for her service as the AASPA Secretary-Treasurer from 2016 to 2024. The organization lauded her leadership and contributions as have been instrumental in advancing the mission of AASPA and supporting educational excellence across the state.
