ALABASTER – The Alabaster City Schools Board of Education approved the second phase of renovations to Creek View Elementary School during its last regularly scheduled meeting of the year.

At the recommendation of Volkert, Inc., the ACS Board of Education approved phase two of interior renovations to Creek View Elementary School in the amount of $620,775 during a meeting on Monday, Dec. 9.

“We’re very excited,” ACS Superintendent Dr. Wayne Vickers said. “We have a very aggressive timeline, but it actually came in under projected budget, which is a trend I like.”

The renovations will be carried out summer 2025 and will mark the completion of a series of improvements that the board has dedicated itself to making for a school which has served the community for more than 30 years.

“It is a complete transformation of that school,” Vickers said. “It’s a very exciting time for us and I want to thank the board of education, Volkert and McKee for taking an elementary school (that was built) in the ‘90s and transform(ing) it into almost something that is brand new.”
