As we plan for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, we wanted to inform you of an exciting opportunity for your child to join or continue in our Public Safety Academy program. Our Public Safety Academy places a strong emphasis on various aspects of public safety, including emergency preparedness, basic first aid, fire management services, legal services, and corrections and law enforcement services. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical training, students gain valuable insights into the complexities of public service roles and develop essential skills to navigate them effectively.
It is important to note that these courses must be taken in a specific order to ensure students receive the full benefit of the curriculum and are adequately prepared for advanced topics. The sequence of courses is as follows:
Introduction to Public Safety
Law Enforcement and Corrections
Advanced Law Enforcement
If your child is interested in participating in the Public Safety Academy program, they can stop by Student Services to pick up a Course Change Request form. This form will allow them to make the necessary adjustments to their Course Requests at no additional cost.
