Alabaster, AL – Thompson High School recently held its annual Curriculum Night, providing rising freshmen and their parents with essential guidance on course selections, diploma options, and academic pathways. The event aimed to help students transition smoothly into high school by introducing them to the various programs and opportunities available at THS.
During the event, attendees received detailed information about Alabama’s diploma requirements, including both the traditional and workforce pathways. School counselors walked families through course selection steps, academic endorsements, and graduation requirements such as the College and Career Readiness Indicator (CCRI) and the financial literacy exam, which will be mandatory for the Class of 2028.
In addition to academic planning, families had the opportunity to explore THS's diverse curriculum, including career academies like TV Production, Health Sciences, Engineering, and Business Management.
