THS - The Thompson High School (THS) DECA organization earned outstanding honors and accolades at the 2025 Alabama DECA State Career Development Conference (SCDC)—one of the largest, most exciting, and most rewarding DECA experiences for high school students.

Several THS DECA students earned top honors (full list below) and have qualified for the prestigious DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC), with the possibility of more qualifiers to be announced in the coming days.

Additionally, Mrs. Holly Porter was named the Most Outstanding DECA Advisor for the State of Alabama.

"We are so proud of our DECA organization, which has quickly become a standout at THS, across Alabama, and beyond," said Dr. Wesley Hester, Thompson High School Principal and Alabaster City Schools Assistant Superintendent. "Mrs. Porter and Mrs. Elizabeth Patrick have done an incredible job building this program and preparing our students for these competitions. We have so much to celebrate and even more to look forward to in the future!"

As THS DECA prepares for the international stage, the ACS community stands behind them, eager to celebrate their continued achievements as they cultivate young entrepreneurs.
