Thompson High School proudly hosted its annual Future Educators of America Signing Day, honoring a group of seniors who have committed to pursuing careers in education. The event, organized by the school’s Future Teachers of America sponsor Mrs. Felicia Smith, served as a celebration of the students’ dedication to shaping the future through teaching. Each student signed their commitment to the college where they plan to continue their journey toward becoming educators, marking a meaningful milestone in their academic and professional lives.
The lineup of future educators includes Britton Pierce, who will attend Troy University; Ansley O'Neal, heading to Jacksonville State; Abby Moore, enrolling at Calhoun Community College; and several students committing to the University of Montevallo: Bella Monk, Kinzie Justice, Maggie Fesh, Emma Combs, and Tatum Boothe. Hannah Hall will be attending the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and Fernando Casillas is attending Seminary with the Catholic Church.
Ms. Smith expressed immense pride in this group of students, acknowledging the significance of their commitment to education.
