Today, we held our Future Educator Signing Day at Thompson High School, an annual event of Mrs. Felicia Smith's FTA/Education & Training Academy. We're so proud of these students who want to pursue careers in education!

Thompson High School Child Services class visited the University of Alabama Child Development center to learn about degrees and careers in the field of Child Development! They toured the Early Learning center, and the new UA welcome center! Dr. Kendrick met with the class to share her experience with grant writing to help fund the Childcare Resources of Alabama program and explained their teaching strategies of learning through play.

Prom 2025 was a success!
Today we hosted the ACS Champions Craft Academy Career Fair! There were 15 vendors across many different trades that met with our students today. This was a great opportunity for our students to meet with employers!
Congratulations to Javier Soto, Kelly Guevara, Michael Wilder Jr. and Mason Garrett on being selected as our March Employees of the Month for Commercial Electrical, HVAC, Interior/Exterior Finishes, and Welding!
CCA Transition Specialist Mr. Jayden Kidd spoke with seniors today who are interested in full time jobs in construction. He worked with them on their interview and conversation skills to prepare them for the upcoming Construction Career Fair on April 3rd! We were honored to host ASO on campus for their annual educational outreach program. Our THS Performing Arts students—including band, choir, theatre, dance, color guard, and majorettes—had the incredible opportunity to experience their breathtaking performance.

Congratulations to Emma Claire Lamar and Noah Bruce who were recently selected into the prestigious 2025 Statewide High School Juried Art Show. Their work will be on display at the Shelby County Arts Council building in Columbiana from March 17 to April 27. There will be a closing reception and awards presented on April 27.
