TIS - Thompson Intermediate School (TIS) successfully hosted and showcased the creative talents of students and teachers from across Alabaster City Schools (ACS) in May 2024 with the ACS District Art Showcase. The annual event, opened to parents and employees, transformed TIS into a vibrant gallery, featuring a diverse array of artwork spanning various mediums and styles.
From paintings and intricate sculptures to expressive drawings and innovative mixed-media pieces, the art show drew hundreds of visitors from across Alabaster. Principal Ms. Jamelia Hayes graciously hosts the event each year and assists in the facilitation of the showcase.
This district-wide art show not only celebrates the talents of individual artists but also underscores the importance of arts education across ACS.
