Here is a link to the 2024-2025 Alabaster City Schools Code of Conduct. Below you can see a list of dress code reminders. These will serve as our expectations for students for the 2024-2025 school year.
Students must wear shorts that are midthigh or longer in the front or back. Fingertip length is a great way to measure midthigh. This rule applies for athletic shorts as well.
Dresses and skirts must also reach the midthigh area in the front and back at minimum. This includes athletic skirts, such as tennis skirts. Fingertip length is a great way to measure for your midthigh.
Leggings are acceptable as long as the shirt or other outergarmets are long enough to reach the midthigh in the front and back.
Holes in jeans are acceptable as long as they are below the midthigh area. Holes in the knees are allowed. Again, fingertip length is a great way to measure midthigh.
Shirts should not show midriff. Shirts cannot be razorback. Shirts should not have spaghetti straps. Shirt straps should be at least three fingers in width.
Hoodies are acceptable attire at school. However, hoods must not be up. Students must keep hoods down.
Students should not be wearing headphones or earbuds at school in the hallways. These items should be left at home or kept in lockers.
