Dear Parents,
Thompson Middle School will be offering free sports physicals for 6th graders on December 6th. This event is only for our 6th grade athletes. It is very important that your child participates in this event if they plan on trying out for a sports team in the spring. In addition, even if your child participates in this free physical, they will also need to sign up for the physical again in May to ensure they are on the same rotation as our other athletes. Please note, this does not replace going to your doctor for normally yearly checkups. Those are very important and we still recommend going to those. If you think your child will tryout for a sport at TMS, I would recommend your child participate. We will have a team of doctors come to TMS and perform the sports physicals. This will be a basic sports physical, so the athlete will stay fully clothed at all times. In order to be able to participate in the free sports physical, you will need to add your child to the 6th grade physical2024 list in dragonfly and complete the preparticipation form electronically. There will be a google form that will need to be completed also and this with let our AD and trainer know they will need to be approved to participate in the physical. If you do not have a dragonfly account, please go to www.dragonflymax.com and create your child’s account and connect it to Thompson Middle School. Once you have done so, simply add your child to the 6th grade physical2024 list. If your child is not on the list and the preparticipation has not been completed, they WILL NOT be allowed to participate.
