Dear Parents,
Thompson Middle School will be having our school wide sports physicals on May 2. This event is for all 6th-8th graders. It is very important that your child participates in this event, even if they already have an up to date physical on file. By attending and receiving a free sports physical in May, this ensures that your child will be eligible all year next year, and you will not need to take them to get a sports physical during the school year. Please note, this does not replace going to your doctor for normally yearly checkups. Those are very important and we still recommend going to your doctor. If you think your child will tryout for a sport at TMS/THS, I would recommend your child participate. We will have a team of doctors come to TMS and perform the sports physicals. This will be a basic sports physical, so the athlete will stay fully clothed at all times. In order to be able to participate in the free sports physical, starting April 1st, you will need to add your child to the 2025 Physical Day in dragonfly and complete the preparticipation physical evaluation form ELECTRONICALLY. We will not accept uploaded copies. Please do not add your child to additional sports, ONLY the 2025 Physical Day List. There will be a google form that will need to be completed also and this with let our AD and trainer know they will need to be approved to participate in the physical. If you do not have a dragonfly account, please go to www.dragonflymax.com and create your child’s account and connect it to Thompson Middle School. Once you have done so, simply add your child to the 2025 Physical Day list. Again, Please do not add your child to any other sports rosters, we will do this at the appropriate times. If your child is not in the list and the preparticipation is not complete, they WILL NOT be allowed to participate.
